Sekonic Repair & Service Rule
Thank you for your taking care of Sekonic users with your excellent service. We believe that fast and good service to the customers is one of the most important things to sell the products. Hereunder we are pleased to inform you of our Repair & Service rule.
Repair
In case that your company doesn’t have equipment or tools for repair, please send back the meter to Sekonic.
Your company has equipment or tools for repair, however, if they can’t fix the problem,
please send back the meter to Sekonic.

Note 1: The above price is Final price per unit including changed parts cost, handling fee and postage of EMS post.
Note 2: If the amount of payment is less than 30,000yen, we charge you 5,000yen as a handling fee unless you have any other payment for P.O. which is more than 30,000yen.
Note 3: The above is NOT applied when the repair is caused by our production fault, or the products are within one-year warranty.
Note 4: If the meter was broken by drop, shock, water or other special condition, the quotation is necessary.
Note 5: Please do NOT include batteries (especially lithium batteries) with the light meter inside or in the package when you send it back to Sekonic for repair. Even if the batteries are included in the package sent to Sekonic, we ship back the repaired meter without batteries because EMS post doesn’t accept it.
“Certificate of Calibration” is to measure the actual meter with our standard lamp (2e
856K incandescent lamp) which is traceable to the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology as the upper organization. We cannot make these documents without the actual meter.
“Certification of Calibration” contains three documents in one set; i) Certificate of
Inspection, ii) Certificate of Calibration, and iii) Calibration Traceability Schema.
The fee below does not include the measurement adjustment or repair. If necessary, each fee is as mentioned above “Repair Fee”.

Product Warranty Provision
Warranty Limitation:
Warranty Period: One year after end-user purchased the product.
We charge no repair fee if you send us the product along with the warranty card or a copy of sales receipt. The warranty card has to indicate purchased date on it.
When the problem or fault occurs, please send back the actual meter within one month for the immediate inspection by Sekonic. If the faulty meter has been left as is for a long time, there is a possibility that we cannot accept the warranty repair.
Even if the product has been purchased within one year, 1) without warranty card or 2) the problem caused by wrong operation or wrong store condition, we charge the repair fee.
Sekonic reserves right to determine whether it is under warranty case or not.
After warranty period expires: if the damage caused by dropped, soaked or special repair needed, let us estimate the repair fee.
Second Repair:
If the same problem (same parts & same phenomenon) happened within three
month after we repaired it, we will repair it for no charge along with our Repair Report. Repair Report is always required for second repair for no charge repair service.
Sekonic reserves the right to determine whether it is under warranty case or not.
Spare Parts
The amount of order for spare parts is less than JPY 30,000.- yen
Parts Price + Postage + Handling Charge (Equally JPY 5,000.-yen as bank charge)
